Peru Luxury Travel

First off I would like to say our encounter with the Peru for Less was excellent from the very beginning. I had a great number of questions and concerns that you always answered promptly and with the right amount of detail. I was very pleased with the itinerary we worked out together to include all the elements we were keen on-it meant getting a little creative but you were always game and cooperative. I was very impressed with the pricing of the whole package. I had done my homework and thought your program was going to provide me with the best value and after the trip was over I was even more certain of it.

After we had made our initial reservations with you we were assigned an operations specialist to make all the bookings and confirm all the tours. We had the great pleasure of having logistics handled by Carolina and then Liz. Their professionalism and follow through was fantastic. Any question - and I had plenty - was answered promptly and courteously.

We felt like every detail was handled well. We were met at every destination and the details for that day were explained. We loved that we had a driver plus an English speaking guide. Private tours really enhanced our trip, it enabled us to ask a lot of questions and really focus on our areas of interest. Javier was great, he made sure we knew what was planned every step of the way. We especially loved having Juan Carlos as a guide for Sacred Valley. We learned so much from him, it was incredible.

The tours were all fantastic. Your staff is so knowledgeable; the education and backgrounds of our guides was fantastic. We were treated so well. The Peru for Less personnel were great! From the drivers to the coordinators we felt like we were being welcomed into their homes. The food included at the hotels was beyond our expectations. I was so impressed that they had these lavish spreads ready in time for all our early morning departures. It was excellent. The staff at each hotel was very accommodating, they were empowered to handle situations; they were helpful, polite, kind and attentive. The service was great in the restaurants at all the hotels as well. In fact, everyone we met in Peru was wonderful. Everyone was extremely friendly, courteous, sweet-natured and so proud of their country. I will be recommending your company to anyone I know who plans to travel to Peru. We were very happy with everything!

Cheryl and I were very satisfied with your service, the accommodations and our tours. We found our contact in Cusco (Kristina) helpful, hardworking, chock full of useful recommendations and punctual. She certainly made sure that everything happened for us the way it was supposed to. The visit to Macu Pichu was incredible and our tour was excellent. We were part of a small, well matched group and our guide (Janni) was knowledgeable and enthusiastic about his culture. The trip could not have been better; it was the best organized trip we have ever been on and we have done our fair share of traveling. It started out with a mishap: Delta did not leave Atlanta on time and consequently, we arrived in Lima three and a half hours late, at 2:00 in the morning instead of 10:30 at night. Yet your representative and driver were there waiting for us (I must say I was very pleasantly surprised). That set the tone for the entire trip- no matter what delays we ran into, the representatives were there awaiting us. As we found out when talking to other travellers who had booked with different companies, this is not a given; many of them were not picked up when their arrival was delayed. All the representatives were very courteous and helpful and went out of their way to make our trip pleasant. The guides were superb; every single one of them showed a passion for their work: they wanted us to get to know Peru and to appreciate its rich heritage and culture. And they were all very well informed and loved to share their knowledge. The whole itinerary was great, just the right balance between sightseeing and some free time. I particularly liked the idea that we were able to customize- I think that is a really great plus of your program. Again, many other companies do not offer that service as we learned from talking with others. Also, the ability to choose the hotels is a great service. I have to say that in most cases the websites do not do them justice. So, thanks again for making this trip a dream trip. I have nothing but praise for your company and have recommended it to anyone who will hear about it (and even to those who rather not!).

Overall, our trip to Peru was a fantastic experience! It was a pleasure having Peru for Less coordinate our travel arrangements. Your representatives were always on time and very courteous and accommodating. A few things stand out that I would like to share with you. Upon arriving at the Tupac Yupanqui hotel in Cusco, I noticed that there was a curb that blocked entry for my wheelchair into the hotel. The hotel employees immediately made accommodations by lifting me, along with my chair, over the curb and into the lobby. Upon returning to the hotel later in the day from a tour of the Sacred Valley, to my surprise a ramp had been constructed making my entry into the hotel much easier. Two days later after going up to Machu Picchu, we returned once again to the Tupac Yupanqui hotel in Cusco only to discover that another two ramps had been built, one to provide access from the sidewalk, the other for access up the street curb. As a result, I had independent wheelchair access into the hotel. The train ride was an enjoyable experience. As I arrived to board the train For Machu Picchu, it became apparent that there was no wheelchair access directly onto the train. The employees of Peru Rail immediately offered their services to help me board. Fortunately I was able to hold onto handrails and climb up the stairs as my wheelchair was lifted in behind me. Once inside the train car, a young lady ”stewardess” named Cristina greeted us and provided her assistance. Throughout the trip, she went out of her way to accommodate my friends and me, and to make our trip most comfortable and memorable. Soon after we arrived at Aguas Calientes, your representative introduced me to a man who offered to assist me in navigating the trails of Machu Picchu. Another man (a policeman) also offered to help out. As a result, my wheelchair and I were maneuvered up and down the steps and along the paths throughout the ruins. When my traveling companions met up with me, they said that I saw nearly as much of Machu Picchu as they did on their tour. What an adventure that was. After returning to Cusco from Machu Picchu, I discovered that some parts from my wheelchair were missing. We phoned your company asking for your driver to look for them in the van. To my surprise he found them and promptly returned the parts to me at our hotel. For this kind act, I am very grateful. Once again thank you for your assistance in planning our wonderful trip to Peru.

Our Peruvian adventure became quite frightening when my husband became gravely ill (it was completely unrelated to our trip to Peru) and required an immediate return to the United States. After one call to our travel agent, Cristina, we were at the airport in less than four hours. Dr Postigo (arranged for by Peru for Less) gave IV fluids and IV antibiotics to my husband, Steve, to help prepare him for the trip home. Special thanks to our guide in Arequipa who waited in the hotel lobby with me for Dr. Postigo to arrive and helped me navigate the pharmacy. He was very professional and never once let on that he knew I was about to lose it. Cristina even contacted our son with our flight information and he was at the Miami airport to pick us up and take us to the ER. Thankfully, Steve has recovered and we are both well. We couldn't have been treated with more kindness and concern and I can't thank you enough! When we go back to Peru, it will be with Peru for Less.

We recently had the good pleasure of making arrangements for a trip to Peru. We had the good fortune of being assisted by Juan Pablo Salcedo. This young man is not only helpful, he is very articulate and professional. In spite of several difficulties in travel (unrelated to Peru For Less� arrangements), he made arrangements and salvaged our vacation. We have traveled in many places in the world; however, Dufray and I can unequivocally state that this was our best vacation ever. Upon our arrival in Cusco, Wilda met us at the airport. She was extremely helpful. She gave us her cell telephone number and offered to assist us in any way she could. When we missed our flight from Cusco to Puerto Maldonado, Loly Luz came to our assistance. She did not leave our side until we were safely on our trip from Cuzco to Puerto Maldonado. We believe that the high point of our trip was our visit to Machu Picchu. Fabricio is an exceptional guide. Our trip to Machu Picchu was not only enlightening, it proved to be a spiritual event. His knowledge of the Inca culture is exceptional. His presentation of Machu Picchu to us was very personal and emotional. We will forever be grateful to this young man. We understand you have many other people working behind the scenes. Our contact with your representatives was nothing short of exceptional. Again, this was one of our most exciting vacations ever. My trip was a dream come true! From the very beginning everything worked like clockwork. The bottom line is that I would recommend you and your company to anyone that wants to see Peru in a safe, classy, affordable, hassle-free way. On the way back from the Nazca fly over, when leaving the airport I was asked to pay 10.00 soles each for airport use, which I gladly did, a few minutes later our driver apologized for the error and got us our money back. I thought that was commendable since he could have easily pocketed the money for himself, (of course I tipped him well!). Thanks so much for everything you did; you did a great job all the way, from the minute I was lucky enough to get you in the phone. I will be calling you soon since I have a couple of friends that want to tour Machu Picchu and they think since I am from Peru, I know my way around (if they will only know!). I�m just writing to say thank you for the most amazing experience I�ve ever had! I decided to take my mum to Peru for her 50th birthday, and we are both so glad we chose to go with Peru for Less.

We went to so many different places in a short time, and were always met on time and really welcomed by our guides. Every accommodation we had was amazing. We were also very happy about how helpful and efficient Peru for Less was when we phoned up with some last minute additions to our trip.

The days we spent in Puerto Maldonado�s rainforest were better than I could have imagined. We were in a small group with a couple who told us that they had paid a lot more than we did with a different agency for exactly the same tour, so Peru for Less defiantly is a value for your money.

The whole trip was perfect. For us coming all the way from Iceland, it was almost like a fairytale, but we did have such high expectations, I didn�t really think the trip itself could live up to them- it was even better!

In a way, I think the floating islands of Lake Titicaca were the highlight for me- completely unique, and the people were so lovely. In fact we were blown away by how nice the Peruvians are. I don�t think we�ve ever met friendlier people.

I just wanted to write a few words to say thanks to Claudia, Bernard, and everyone at Peru for Less. You guys really made this perfect for us, and my mum told me it was the best birthday she had ever had.
