Hi Diego,

Jetal at Machu Picchu

Everything was wonderful. Machu Picchu was amazing! Thank you for helping us plan this trip. Christina was very helpful and made sure everything was taken care of. She recommended some very good restaurants. She was also very helpful in getting us to Puno after our train was cancelled. Fabracio our guide at Machu Picchu was very knowledgeable and passionate about his job. We especially liked the personalized tour. Josuelo, our driver to Puno is very hard working. We encountered many road blocks on the way but he did not have any trouble getting us to Puno safely. Bruno also was a good guide on our island tours. Thanks for a wonderful vacation!!!

Dear Wonderful Friends at Peru For Less,

Janet and Karlene at Machu Picchu

We selected Peru For Less because of your willingness to individualize our trip to Cuzco and Machu Picchu for a great price. Little did we realize just how wise a decision this would turn out to be. Our PFL schedule was based on the arrival of our cruise ship in Lima, but the cruise line cancelled the trip one week out. We quickly rebooked on another cruise originating in Lima and contacted Diego at PFL on Friday. By Monday afternoon, he and his associates had rebooked everything (hotel, tours, air, etc.) for a nominal change fee. As others have testified, words cannot adequately describe the superb attention and wonderful service we received by the PFL staff in Peru they exceeded every expectation time and again! Cuzco: Juan Carlos masterfully coordinated multiple transfers during our time in Cuzco and even met us on his morning off to ensure we hailed a "safe" taxi to return us to our hotel. Lalo expertly chauffeured us to/from the airport/train station at all hours of the day and night, shyly offering guided commentary in his limited English. And when there was a change in a tour meeting time, at least four staff members of the Hotel Arqueologo informed us of the new time. Machu Picchu: Our guide Fabricio was a wonderfully kind and knowledgeable man who enabled us both to enjoy this magnificent wonder. He was so encouraging and thoughtful as he helped a 60 something woman trek though the ruins. Because he focused on her safety and enjoyment, it allowed her younger companion to thoroughly enjoy the ruins at her own pace. Just as amazing to us was the friendly welcome and assistance we received from the people of Peru who were not associated with PFL: the staff of the left luggage office at the Lima airport; the vendors in the craft markets; the proprietress of the corner store where we purchased bottled water; the waiters at the restaurants; and many, many others. We cannot thank you enough for our amazing adventure in Peru!! We have already recommended Peru For Less to everyone who has asked us about our vacation. And we will be contacting you soon to arrange a tour in conjunction with a business trip to Chile.

Texas and Virginia.

Hi Ximena,

Gillian at Machu Picchu, Cusco

I have to thank you again for the wonderful trip you organized for me Ximena. After all of the changes I came up with over the months of planning, which you managed to work in, the trip came together wonderfully well, and I'll have no hesitation in recommending Peru For Less to anybody wanting to see Machu Picchu (and I'll encourage them to go for all of the side trips too).

Apart from seeing Giant Otters on Lake Sandoval on my birthday (what a present!), I will treasure magical memories of Machu Picchu forever. Given that I was traveling on my own, I really appreciated being met and transported between airports and hotels, so I didn't have to worry about any arrangements. There were no problems with any of the hotels either. The guides on the tours I went on were very considerate, and really helped to make my holiday great.

I think Peru is somewhere everybody should have on their list of places to go before they die - it is a truly amazing place, with such diversity, and I only just skimmed the surface. Thanks for your help.

Many thanks again,

Gillian,
Darlington, UK.

Dear Ale,

Cedric and Denise at Machu Picchu, Cusco

Thank you for the email inquiring about our trip. Yes we did have a great time and we wish we were still there. The Hotels... Generally we thought the standard was good to very good. The staffs in all the hotels were friendly and helpful. Transport... We had no problems, pickups and transfers were always on time. Your reps... Very warm, friendly people, always there if needed.

The places we visited:

Cusco One of our favorite places, glad we spent a few days there. Thursday was the highlight, watched England WIN a football match in the morning and then watched the Corpus Christi parade in the afternoon (from the Cross Keys, a bar in the main square, balcony) so we had a great view.

The Sacred Valley We enjoyed the Pisaq market, and bought a few momentos. Ollyantaytambo is a picturesque town with interesting Inca ruins. Our spare day in the sacred valley turned out to be an unexpected highlight. We walked to Urubamba, not a tourist town, but very interesting. We wandered around the town visiting the market, witnessed a wedding, and in the afternoon we followed the crowds and got to the Bullring. We watched several Matadors with the bulls, and young men trying to ride bareback on wild horses. We used the local Tricycle-Taxis back to the hotel: an unusual ride that cost 2 soles. We saw a little bit of real Peru in this area. That night a brass band visited our hotel, and a party took place. We also had our first Pisco Sour here... we liked this drink, and had several more during our travels.

Machu Pichu. The ruins and the setting were breathtaking. You need longer than the 2 hour guided tour to fully appreciate them and we are glad we could stay longer. We walked to the Sun Gate (the place were people who have done the Inca Trail first see Machu Pichu). It really is worth it as the view from here is the best you will ever see.

The Colca Canyon trip was very enjoyable. The party of 13 was made up of Americans, Mexicans, Spaniards, Australians, a couple from Equador and us from England. The tour guide, did a wonderful job explaining everything in 2 languages and got the whole group joining in everything. The scenery on the trip was different from what we had seen in other parts of Peru and was well explained by the guide. We picked a good day to visit the canyon, within 10 minutes of arriving we saw our first Condor, in the next hour we had 15 /20 sightings and twice a Condor flew over our heads only a few feet above us.

We should end by thanking you for your efforts in helping us plan the trip. The extra night in the Sacred Valley was a stroke of genius or luck, either way, we loved that hotel and the day in Urubamba was one of those days that just happen, you cant plan them! Cusco is a beautiful city and from talking to other travelers it is everyones favorite place. The extra days we had there gave us a rest from traveling and we had a chance to just wander at our own pace.

We would happily recommend Peru for Less to anyone. Will we come back again? We hope so..we have got a taste for South America, wish we were 21 years old and could join the backpackers spending several months there.we will be back one day.

Thank You,

Cedric and Denise,
West Yorks, England.

Hello Richard,

George and Jean at Machu Picchu, Cusco

We are writing to thank you and the Peruforless staff for the first class organisation of our recent holiday in Peru.  All agencies used were fantastic.  Most of our hotels exceeded our expectations, the tours arranged were interesting and varied and the guides were all well informed and interesting.

We loved the whole experience.

George and Jean,
The United Kingdom.

Dear Ximena,

Philip and Vanessa in Lima, Peru

Thanks for following up with us. The trip was excellent, and your suggestions regarding accommodations and places to see were admired by many fellow travelers. Thank you very much for your efforts to make our trip enjoyable. We had a great time, and we really didn't want to come home. Vanessa and I have not traveled through an agency before, and we were not disappointed by how efficient and reliable the entire process was.

Thanks again for exceeding our expectations. We would gladly recommend Peru for Less to anyone considering travel to South America.

Sincerely,

Phillip and Vanessa,
California, USA.

Dear Peru For Less,

Craig and Jessica in the Andes, Peru

Thanks again for arranging such an amazing trip for Jessica and myself to Peru this past June. I know how annoying all of my pre-trip questions and itinerary changes must have been and I want to thank you for always being responsive and professional in working with me to make sure I was comfortable and satisfied.

If that wasn't enough, I was absolutely blown away with the 5-Star service we received once we arrived in Peru. The PFL staff and the Peruvian people treated us like royalty. I will NEVER forget how Laura went out of her way to retrieve my brand new camera that I left on the airplane in Cusco ...and this was after it had departed and landed in Puerto Maldonado! She really pulled the rabbit out of the hat on that one.

Thanks, too, for taking the time to meet us back in Lima on our last night in Peru at the Astrid y Gaston restaurant.  We thoroughly enjoyed the meal, the food, the wine and the company.  What a great way to end an already perfect experience!

I look forward to a return trip and want to thank you again for all you did to make Jessica's ”senior trip” one that she nor I will ever forget.

You and the PFL staff are incredible.

Craig and Jessica,
Baton Rouge, Louisiana.

Dear Ale,

John in Peru

What a pleasant surprise to have your two e-mails waiting when we returned from South America; and yes, the trip was FANTASTIC!! Although our plane was almost two hours late arriving into Lima, we were met by a host and driver who took us directly to the Marriott in Miraflores and verified the scheduled itinerary during our stay. We had a beautiful room overlooking the Pacific Ocean on the 25th floor, and access to the Executive Club with its amenities (breakfast buffet and evening snacks).

Yes, we did eat at Astrid y Gaston (scallops and lamb washed down with a nice sauvignon blanc), as well as the Rosa Nautica (pisco sours, ceviche and another fine wine). They were the two most memorable restaurants because of their ambiance and unique locations.

Speaking of memorable; the Monasterio hotel and the Plaza de Armas in Cuzco, the train ride to Machu Picchu (we saw two Andean condors soaring above the train en-route to Aguas Calientes), the Pueblo Hotel where we met Oscar Medina, the author of, ”The Enigma of Machu Picchu” which he was pleased to autograph for us, magnificent Machu Picchu (unbelievable stone construction hanging on a mountain side most readily accessible by those condors), Ollataytambo (Penne and I climbed all the way to the top - whew!) the Andean Explorer train ride across the Altiplano to Puno, Lake Titicaca, the Uros Indians and their floating islands, reed houses and boats, and last but not least, Isla Taquile and the knitted goods of the men and women (another arduous climb to the top of the island - extremely difficult to breathe).

Yes, we enjoyed Peru; its beautiful, friendly, and cheerful people, its history and culture, its mysterious ruins, and its special charm (enhanced by Pisco sours and mate de coca).
Would we consider returning, and are we recommending the trip to our friends? YOU BET! It will be interesting to see whether my ex-work associate contacts you before we do; we are anxious to return to your fascinating country, but have to wait for awhile until family commitments are met. When we do decide on a date, we'll definitely be contacting Peru For Less, and hopefully working with you again, since you know our preferences for hotel and travel accommodations.

Ale, thank you so much for arranging and coordinating such a perfectly delightful adventure. Before we left the U.S., I would have considered it a once-in-a-lifetime experience. Now we are already planning a return!

Take care!.

John and Penne,
New Mexico, USA.

Dear Peru Luxury Travel

Rachel and Nick feeding the Alpacas

We had a wonderful time and, on the whole, everything went very smoothly. All of the Peru for Less and affiliated representatives and guides were fantastic. Rosie in Cuzco was one of the best - she was so informative and we felt like we learned so much from her during the day and a half we were with her. We also had a great time on the Colca Canyon tour. Everything was fantastic! We also had a great time at Machu Picchu.
So thank you very much to you and all your team for all your wonderful work. All of our family and friends have been interested to hear about how we planned our trip so we have spread the word about your company and in the future if we hear of anyone going to Peru, we will most definitely send them your link.

Thank you again!

Rachel and Nick,
New York City, NY.

Hi Ximena!

Kimberly and Ernie at Machu Picchu

Thank you for your email. Our trip was wonderful! We had a great time! We especially liked the laid back atmosphere in Posada Amazonas, plus, the one-on-one tours with our guide during those 4 days. That made it a lot of fun, and we got to learn a lot about the area. Also, we loved Machu Picchu. That has to be one of the most glorious places imaginable! The extra day was definitely worth it! Peru was fabulous! The people were wonderful, the country was beautiful, and the prices were reasonable throughout the trip! Plus, I've already shown many pictures to my friends and family and they all want to take a trip there as well! Thanks again for a wonderful time!

Kimberly and Ernie,
Colorado Springs, CO.
