Peru Luxury Travel

Can't imagine traveling to South America without all the V.I.P. assistance rendered to my wife and I in making the complicated itinerary actually work, with amazingly smooth connections. Too many things could go wrong as we tall Americans stand out so easily in just dealing with security just as a starter and having a multitude of staff representatives meeting us at airports and train stations, supervising next day's tours with special planning meetings and in hosting us with private drivers daily along with private tour guides who all spoke English fluently. All of our friends were particularly scared to death that we were going to San Paulo and Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. But your Rio de Janeiro representative quickly settled that issue ten minutes after checking in at the hotel. He succinctly gave us specific do's and don'ts and we were completely safe during all of our free time as we freely walked, eat (never got sick) and shopped all over both day and night as the fashions in Rio are trend setting. And above all, Peru for Less gave us the best customization possible in making the itinerary so dynamic and fulfilling and all within a minimum amount of visitation time in each city and country. Our trip was incredibly successful in three different countries: Chile, Brazil and Peru. And in every instance, the coordination of details and execution were impeccably accurate regardless of the country visited. Success at every stage was achieved regardless of location, the weather, the country and/or the time of day or night we traveled and were sight-seeing. In summary, my wife and I are veteran international travelers to four continents and we will never travel to South America without Peru For Less for the many reasons cited above.

When we first decided to travel and booked our trip, Peru had just had a large earthquake that made us very nervous - especially since part of our tour was near the earthquake zone. We very much enjoyed our trip to Peru from March 11 to March 30. We were amazed by the variety of climate, topography, landscapes, archeology, and culture in your country. And we were impressed by the efficiency of the transportation systems --- whether by air, rail, water, or highway. Contacts, tours, and transfers were all as scheduled. The trip exceeded our expectations. There were many memorable moments, among them going to dinner with you to Tanta's in Lima, a most amazing seafood restaurant. Perhaps the most unusual, if not the best seafood we have ever tasted.

We would highly recommend your Travel Agency to friends and relatives. We were favorably impressed by the tour guides on all of our mini-tours. They were knowledgeable, friendly, and spoke very good English, for those of us who don't understand Spanish. And they were most helpful in answering our many questions, especially when it came to giving advice on good places to shop, and excellent restaurants. We fell in love with the Alpaca wool sweaters and multi colored table cloths.

We think that what makes your agency exceptional is the personal, 24-hour service you provide, your ease of accessibility throughout Peru, and your prompt, courteous, and competent attention to our needs. There will always be glitches in any trip, no matter how well planned. And we had our share over 20 days. However, you and your team always responded in a timely and more-than-satisfactory fashion. Case in point --- when a cancellation of our flight from Puno to Arequipa was cancelled one morning, resulting in the cancellation of a scheduled afternoon tour of Arequipa, at no expense to us, you rescheduled our flight to Arequipa, as well as the city tour and return flight to Lima on our last day in country. This actually turned out to be a more convenient itinerary for us in the long run, with no loss of planned sight-seeing.

Many thanks to you and the folks at Peru for Less for making my dream come true.  After 30+ years I was able to go to Peru, despite my doctor saying I should stay off of my foot, just one week before the trip. I so appreciate all of your effort to make the trip possible, to make accommodations and your infinite patience with all of my anxieties and needs. Our time in the jungle was magical—and we had the most charming, and knowledgeable guide, Richard, who shared many amazing secrets of the jungle, the birds, monkeys and insects. He is a fine naturalist and we felt fortunate to have him guide us. Every need and whim of the guests was anticipated. I would recommend Posada Amazonas to anyone who loves nature. Representatives from Peru for Less met us at airports, train stations, and hotels and provided transfers, vouchers, and information in a most professional, prompt, and helpful manner. In Machu Picchu I was delighted when Fabricio said to me, “With a little help, anything is possible.” He took my arm and led me up the path to the temple of the Sun. He was right; there I was exploring Machu Picchu in a walking cast. In Cuzco, lovely Marie and a driver took us to the nearby ruins and to the peoples market for a private, slower paced excursion.  We were very pleased that we could have so much time for exploration on our own as well as just the right amount of guidance when we could most enjoy it. Yes, I loved Peru! Your airlines and trains put the United States to shame. They were professional, polite, and they even served food- something that seldom happens on transportation in the US. People were friendly and proud to show us their beautiful country. I'm a pretty picky guy and the situation was one where I got uncomfortable really easy, and Ximena held our hands real tight on the phone with emails and really took care of us. I can't say enough about the tour guides we had. They all gave 100 percent and more. We really got a lot of information about where we were—more than we ever would have expected.
