Peru will open its first paleontology museum in the northern city of Trujillo in a 2,000 square meter (21,500 square foot approx) building. This museum is possible thanks to foreign aid and Peruvian funds. The museum will host more than 800 fossils and the museum staff will be trained in Germany as well as having visiting staff from different countries.

The Spanish infrastructure and construction firm OHL has signed a deal to build a 224-mile (360 km) highway along the northern coast of Peru. The Peruvian government has been working hard to get foreign countries to invest in infrastructure as part of Alan Garcia's economic growth and development plan. Many fossils and footprints from different kind of dinosaurs have been found in the mountains of Peru. The discovery took place in the region of Ancash while a mining company was doing regular tasks building a road. The fossil of a marine reptile type dinosaur seem to be the best preserved in a complete skeleton shape. Flying reptiles, crocodiles, and many other dinosaurs were the attraction of the miners who found such an amazing collection of pre historic pieces that are more than 20 million years old.

A two-story mall is being designed and will soon be in construction in the city of Cuzco. According to people from Centros Comerciales Peru, a S/. 280 million invested will be made in a 613,542 sq. ft. space. Even though the date of construction has not been announced yet, the name for the mall will be Puertas del Sol and it will have a wide variety of stores, from department stores, sports stores, grocery stores, and even movie theaters.

Peru and the U.S. have engaged on a Free Trade Agreement that allows the import and export of goods between both nations. The agreement is effective since Feb 1st, 2009. The first container under this agreement was sent from the port of Callao, the container was full of textiles and was celebrated as the first step toward progress in the export and import relations between the U.S. and Peru.

Water rafting is one of the ultimate sports because of its benefits to the body, mind and spirit. Around this time of the year is when adventurers come to Iquitos from many different countries. The test is hard, the challenge is big but not even one of the toughest rivers in the world can stop the spirit of adventure. The race takes place in the Amazon River and it lasts 3 days (from Sept 25th to Sept27th). Rafters are to build their own raft a day before the race. According to the head of MINCETUR, Peru represents 0.38 of the market in Japan which indicates that the possibility of an agreement is very high due to the existing partnership of Peru to the oriental nation. An agreement with Japan would enhance Peru's market strength.
