Mountain Glaciers in Peru Receding Rapidly Due to Global Warming

Recent satellite images disclose that Peru's mountain glaciers are quickly diminishing as a result of global warming. In the past 33 years, a 26% loss of surface area has been observed. The National Institute of Natural Resources claims that the glaciers are melting by approximately 20 meters per year and warns of water scarcity by 2020.
