Day 1: Arrival in Rio de Janeiro
- Upon arrival, you will be collected at the airport by one of our Peru Luxury Travel representatives and taken to your luxury hotel in Rio de Janeiro.
- You will have the remainder of the day to spend at your leisure resting at your hotel or exploring the exciting city.
Day 2: Rio tours of Corcovado and Sugarloaf Mountain
- Eat a filling breakfast at your hotel before heading out on a tour of Sugarloaf Mountain. The cable car will first take you to up the “Morro da Urca” mountain at 886 feet (270 meters) above sea level, and then continue to the top of Sugarloaf Mountain at 1,295 feet (395 meters) above sea level.
- You will continue with a Rio de Janeiro City Tour. Your private tour will take you to the cathedral, the Samba Stadium (Sambodromo), the historical center of Rio, and the Maracana football stadium.
- After lunch, you will ascend the 2,460 ft. high mountain peak of Corcovado (Hunchback), famous for Christ the Redeemer statue. A train ride through the forest will bring you to the famous landmark.
- After descending by train, the tour continues through the “Rebouzas” to Barra da Tijuca, Rio’s most recently developed beach area. The tour returns via the beaches of Sao Conrado, Vidigal, Leblon, and Ipanema to Copacabana.
- Enjoy a free evening exploring the bustling city and taking advantage of the luxurious amenities of your hotel.
Day 3: Arrival to Iguazu
- You will be privately transferred to the airport for your flight to Iguazu, where you will be picked up and transferred to your 5-star Iguazu hotel.
- Enjoy the rest of the afternoon at your leisure.
Day 4: Iguazu Falls Tour
- Today you will take a private tour of Iguazu Falls on the Argentinean side. This includes an ecological train ride to the Devil’s Throat. Trails through the 137,000 acre reserve provide various complete views of the falls along the borders of two different countries – Argentina and Brazil. Lower and upper walkways allow for a close look at the powerful waterfalls.
Day 5: Arrival to Buenos Aires
- In the morning you will be privately transferred to the Iguazu airport. Upon your arrival in Buenos Aires, you will be picked up at the airport and taken to your 5-star hotel.
- Spend the remainder of the day at your leisure, exploring the busy streets of Buenos Aires on your own.
Day 6: Buenos Aires Tour
- The Buenos Aires tour is recommended to all travelers arriving in Buenos Aires, in order to get initial highlights of the city. You will first pass by the impressive National Congress (The Parliament), the civic center including the Plaza de Mayo, surrounded by Casa Rosada (the Government House), the Metropolitan Cathedral and the Cabildo (City Hall during the Spanish colonial period). Along 9th of July Avenue, you will see the famous Colon Theatre, considered one of the best Opera Houses in the world for its acoustic properties which makes it the cultural pride of the city. Then you will head to the traditional San Telmo neighborhood to get a taste of history, and on if there on a Sunday you should make time to visit the flea market. A bit further south is one of the oldest neighborhoods in the area, La Boca. This former Italian immigrant settlement, has colorful and unique architecture. Your private tour will continue through the neighborhoods of Puerto Madero and Retiro on your way to the largest residential area of the city, Palermo. You can enjoy the Palermo Parks, City Zoo, and Planetarium. Your final spot is the elegant Recoleta, famous for its cemetery, boutiques, gourmet restaurants and sidewalk cafes under ficus and jacaranda trees.
- In the evening, you will be taken to enjoy a “porteña” in one of the most exclusive Buenos Aires tango houses, Esquina Carlos Gardel. The club is located in the Abasto neighborhood, and during dinner the orchestra will play a tango repertoire while several couples dance this sensual dance. Our recommended dinner and tango show was selected for having the best quality, gourmet meals, and exceptional dancing. Day 7: Arrival to Cusco
- After a breakfast at your hotel in Puno, you will be transferred to Cusco and taken to your luxury hotel when you can rest before enjoying the Cusco nightlife at your leisure.
Day 8: Cusco City Tour
- In the early afternoon you will head out on your private Cusco City Tour and visit some of the many amazing archaeological sites and wonders in and around the city. Included in the tour are the Cathedral, located on the Plaza de Armas, Cusco’s main square, as well as various Incan structures such as the Sun Temple Koricancha, Sacsayhuaman, Q'enko, Puka Pukara and Tambomachay.
- You will return to your hotel in the late afternoon and have the remainder of the day to spend at your leisure, either resting at your hotel, or exploring the city on your own. Try the delicious local cuisine and enjoy the hospitality of the inhabitants of Cusco.
Day 9: Tour of the Sacred Valley of the Incas
- After an early breakfast at your hotel, you will embark on a journey into the famous Sacred Valley of the Incas. As you wind through the Andean mountain tops, you will see echoes of the traditional lifestyles that have remained unchanged for more than 500 years. Many people proudly wear traditional clothing, cook in clay fire ovens and utilize many of the irrigation techniques developed over half a millennia ago. The drive from Cusco is not very long and on the way you will see some typical Andean villages and scenery. Upon descent into the Sacred Valley you will arrive in the area the Inca revered for its lush fertile soils and advanced agricultural methods.
- You will then ride along the Urubamba River for a short trip to the beautiful town of Pisac. Here you will have the opportunity to visit the lively local market, the largest in the area, and enjoy the beautiful handicrafts on sale. This town also has some very interesting small architectural elements which make this town a gem of the Sacred Valley.
- Next you will visit the impressive ruins of Ollantaytambo. These magnificent ancient ruins look out as outposts over the valley and offer an incredible view of the entire Valley. Originally the royal estate of Emperor Pachacuti during the Inca Empire, it later served as a stronghold for Manco Inca Yupanqui in the Inca´s final rebellion against the Spanish.
- In the evening you will return to your Cusco hotel where you will once again be given the opportunity to spend the evening at your leisure in one of the many fine restaurants or bars available in the area.
Day 10: Machu Picchu Private Tour
- After a delectable breakfast at your hotel in Cusco, you will take a luxurious train to the hidden temple of the Incas: Machu Picchu. The train ride will provide you with spectacular views along rivers, mountains, and forests.
- When you arrive in Aguas Calientes, you will be taken either directly to the ruins of Machu Picchu. The hidden ruins of Machu Picchu are perched in the mountains about 20 minutes from this small town. If you choose to stay overnight in the Machu Picchu area, you will first be taken to your luxurious hotel in Aguas Calientes before heading out on your Machu Picchu tour.
- You will receive a privately guided tour of the fascinating citadel then you will have some time to explore the area or your own or head into town for a late lunch. If you are staying overnight in Aguas Calientes, consider relaxing in the nearby hot springs. Otherwise, you will take the train back to your Cusco hotel.
Day 11: Departure from Cusco
- After breakfast at your hotel, you will take a private transfer to the airport for your return home or on to your next destination. You are also welcome to continue to other exciting Latin American travel destinations.

Always one of the nicest hotels on the Avenida Atlântica, the Pestana looks brand-new thanks to a recent overhaul. The best rooms in the house, without doubt, are the Oceanica suites. They are among the best in Copa, if you can afford the splurge. The standard and superior rooms are more plainly furnished and have a side view.
