Day 1: Arrival to Cusco & City Tour

• A Peru Luxury representative will pick you up at the Cusco airport and take you to your elegant hotel where you can rest until acclimated to the altitude. As you ride into the city center, you will notice the combination of Spanish colonial architecture and remains of the ancient Inca settlement.
• Later, you will be taken on a private Cusco city tour of the city where you will come in contact with many amazing archaeological sites and wonders in and around Cusco. You will see the Cathedral located in the Plaza de Armas, Cusco’s main square, as well as the marvelous Inca sites of the Sun Temple Koricancha, Sacsayhuaman, Q’enko, Puka Pukara, and Tambomachay.
• Return to your fine hotel in the late afternoon and enjoy a free evening in this beautiful city. There are many markets and high-end stores selling alpaca clothing that you can visit, as you will want something warm. The temperature in Cusco can drop dramatically in the evening due to the dry climate and altitude. Spend the rest of your evening enjoying the local cuisine and the hospitality of the friendly locals.

Day 2: Tour of the Sacred Valley of the Incas

• After an early breakfast at your hotel, you will embark on a journey into the famous Sacred Valley of the Incas. As you wind through the Andean mountain tops, you will see echoes of the traditional lifestyles that have remained unchanged for more than 500 years. Many people proudly wear traditional clothing, cook in clay fire ovens and use many of the irrigation techniques developed over half a millennia ago. The drive from Cusco is not very long and on the way you will see some typical Andean villages and scenery. Upon descent into the Sacred Valley you will arrive in the area the Inca revered for its lush fertile soils and advanced agricultural methods. 
• You will then ride along the Urubamba River for a short trip to the beautiful town of Pisac. Here you will have the opportunity to visit the lively local market, the largest in the area, and enjoy the beautiful handicrafts on sale. This town also has some very interesting small architectural elements that make this town a gem of the Sacred Valley. 
• Next you will visit the impressive ruins of Ollantaytambo. These magnificent ancient ruins look out as outposts over the valley and offer an incredible view of the entire valley.  Originally the royal estate of Emperor Pachacuti during the Inca Empire, it later served as a stronghold for Manco Inca Yupanqui in the Inca´s final rebellion against the Spanish.
• In the evening you will return to your Cusco hotel where you will once again be given the opportunity to spend the evening at your leisure in one of the many fine restaurants or bars available in the area.

Day 3: Machu Picchu Private Tour

• After a delectable breakfast at your hotel in Cusco, you will take a luxurious train to the hidden temple of the Incas: Machu Picchu. The train ride will provide you with spectacular views along rivers, mountains, and forests.
• When you arrive in Aguas Calientes, you will be taken directly to the ruins of Machu Picchu. The hidden ruins of Machu Picchu are perched in the mountains about 20 minutes from this small town. If you choose to stay overnight in the Machu Picchu area, you will first be taken to your luxurious hotel in Aguas Calientes before heading out on your Machu Picchu tour.
• You will receive a privately guided tour of the fascinating citadel then you will have some time to explore the area or your own or head into town for a late lunch. If you are staying overnight in Aguas Calientes, consider relaxing in the nearby hot springs. Otherwise, you will take the train back to your Cusco hotel.

Day 4: Departure from Cusco

• After breakfast at your 5-star hotel, you will take a private transfer to the airport for your return home or on to your next destination. You are also welcome to continue to other exciting Latin American travel destinations or further into the Peru by taking the train, bus, or plane to Puno to see the striking Lake Titicaca.
